Senior Engineer - Cloud
Location: Hybrid
Job type: Full time, Permanent
Ref: 1034
Telent is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join the Network Services division. This hybrid role involves working both remotely and at an office (preferably Warwick or Camberley). The ideal candidate will have skills in On-Premises and Azure Cloud environments and be eligible for UK Security Clearance.
The Senior Cloud Engineer will develop and maintain technical relationships with customers, provide proactive service, and serve as a bridge between engineering and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction. You will also support professional services and sales activities, acting as a cloud evangelist for both On-premises and Azure solutions.
Responsibilities
* Lead technical aspects within customer accounts
* Mentor and coach internal staff
* Train staff and customers on relevant products and solutions
* Monitor and report on customer incidents
* Identify trends and security threats impacting customers
* Manage documentation related to customer networks
* Follow internal and external processes for tasks and change management
* Assist with Proof of Concept, Type Approval, and testing activities
* Create technical documentation such as TA, POC, RFC, WI, and SoW
* Review engineering documentation peer-wise
* Support equipment staging for customer projects
* Participate in customer meetings and reviews
* Lead value-add projects and innovations
* Produce and review design documentation
* Ensure accurate timesheet submissions
* Maintain certifications aligned with role
* Complete overtime and expenses accurately
* Adhere to GDPR and security policies

* Experience supporting Data Centre and Cloud Infrastructure
* Proficiency in Cloud, On-premises, and Azure environments

Skills / Qualifications
* VCIX -VMWare Certified Implementation Expert – Network Virtualization (desirable)
* VCP -VMWare Certified Professional 6 – Data Centre Virtualization (required)
* VCP -VMWare Certified Professional 6.1 – Network Virtualization (required)
* MSCE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure or equivalent
* MSCE: Productivity or equivalent
