The Role
As a Temporary SEN Teacher, you will:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to the specific SEMH and learning needs of a small class group.
* Take full responsibility for a class, ensuring all pupils are engaged and making progress during your tenure.
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
* Work closely with a dedicated team of Teaching Assistants, directing their support effectively.
* Contribute to the school's positive culture, adhering to all policies and procedures.
* Ensure accurate recording and reporting of pupil progress and well-being.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a candidate who is:
* A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
* Demonstrably experienced in teaching pupils with SEN, particularly SEMH needs (essential).
* Immediately available and able to commit to the full duration of the temporary contract.
* Highly skilled at adapting the curriculum quickly to meet diverse learning styles.
* Resilient, reliable, and proactive in managing a classroom with confidence.
* Able to build rapport quickly with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
