Eland Lodge is a well-known equestrian establishment offering one of the best specialist equine stores in the country together with a superb competition venue and a premium livery facility. We are seeking a marketing professional capable of producing and implementing a strong marketing strategy for all areas of the Eland Lodge business, with a particular focus on e-commerce.
This role would suit someone looking to join an ambitious family business on a fixed term contract (Maternity Cover) and take ownership of our marketing. The ideal candidate will be an experienced marketing professional with plenty of creative ideas to contribute. Strong digital and IT skills are essential for this role, including knowledge of website management, email marketing and social media. Some knowledge of digital marketing channels such as PPC, social media marketing (paid and organic) and email is vital. An interest and experience in equestrianism is also essential.
Job Responsibilities Include:
1. Lead the planning and delivery of an integrated cross-channel content calendar, aligning campaigns, key trading moments and business priorities across each business area: ecommerce, retail, events, facility hire and livery yard.
2. Managing the content schedule and overseeing the Social Media Apprentice in the production of engaging organic content for a range of social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest & TikTok).
3. Maintaining and improving the Eland Lodge website, ensuring it is kept up to date, on trend and user friendly.
4. Lead the end-to-end management of product data across Shopify ecommerce platform, ensuring product information is accurate, consistent and optimised.
5. Building and deploying email campaigns and automations using Mailchimp.
6. Managing the production of marketing materials such as artwork, flyers, and printed collateral.
7. Collaborating with our digital agency to promote Google Ads performance, website maintenance and optimisation.
8. Producing all relevant reports on e-commerce sales and campaign overviews. Producing weekly reports for management, and annual reports and analysis to inform future marketing activity.
9. Overseeing the e-commerce order fulfilment and customer service process.
10. Attend a number of event days to create content for social media.
The ideal candidate:
11. Previous marketing experience including social media
12. Strong written communication skills
13. Understanding of SEO principles and product data
14. Have in-depth knowledge of the equestrian sector
15. Be comfortable working with Shopify (or similar platform), Mailchimp, Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite
16. Be self-motivated and have an excellent level of attention to detail.
This is office based at Draycott in the Clay DE6 5HD. Some weekend working will be required.
