Main Purpose of the Role

We currently have the following opportunity:

Play Assistant - PKC
£9, - £9, (16 Hours per week, Term-time only)
Goodlyburn Primary School, Perth

We are seeking an enthusiastic professional to join our large staff team on a part time basis during term time.

You will be committed to working closely with the staff team to develop, plan and contribute to the implementation of high-quality experiences within a play and care curriculum.

You will support a high-quality family lunchtime experience and undertake a range of duties including interacting with children, supporting them with care routines, administering first aid where required, food preparation and cleaning tasks.

The role will also include some lifting, moving of tables, chairs and food trolleys to prepare and deliver a nurturing lunchtime experience.

Skills & Experience Required

Applications are invited from practitioners who genuinely enjoy working with young children and have the motivation and energy to provide engaging experiences before, during and after lunch and snack times.

The successful candidate will be able to "think on their feet" and enjoy a varied role in order to support a happy, busy nursery putting children's needs first.

You should have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues.

Some experience of working in a School or Nursery environment is desirable.

This role requires you to be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), if you are not yet registered, you can still apply, as long as you are willing to apply for registration within 3 months of starting with us and be registered within 6 months.
