Investment Banking Analyst (Analyst 2) - FIG M&A, Bedford
Corporate Finance - Mergers and Acquisitions
Our client is a UK investment banking boutique, specializing in FIG M&A (asset and wealth management sector). The firm has an excellent reputation and track record in the City, with Partners from US Bulge Bracket banks, Elite Boutiques, and Global Independents.
The firm is seeking to hire an Analyst (Ideally Analyst 2 or Analyst 3 level) in Bedford, to join the expanding team.
Role Overview:
Analyst 2 level, with at least 12 months experience in M&A (sector does not need to be FIG).
You will be executing and managing high-impact M&A transactions, providing financial analysis, and building client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work on M&A transactions in asset and wealth management sectors, including financial analysis, due diligence, valuation, and deal structuring.
* Provide insightful financial analysis for decision-making and strategy.
* Conduct industry research and market analysis to identify acquisition targets and opportunities.
* Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market developments.
* Collaborate with legal, compliance, and tax teams for transaction execution.
* Coordinate with stakeholders to align on objectives and timelines.
* Build relationships with clients and industry experts to generate new business.
* Advise clients strategically throughout transactions.
* Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.
* Communicate complex financial concepts clearly.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field.
* Experience in M&A transactions. Experience in asset and wealth management (or FIG) is a plus but not required.
* Strong financial analysis and modelling skills, proficiency in Excel and valuation techniques.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments, team-oriented.
* High integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
