We believe in delivering exceptional value for our clients and creating unrivalled opportunities for our people.Key ObjectivesTake ownership and responsibility for the execution of all assigned workDefine fit for purpose engineering solutionsDeliver a budget / estimate, schedule, multi-disciplined detailed design, detailed scope(s) of work, specifications, commissioning plans, training plans, final documentation for all assigned projectsSupport the project manager(s) with the definition of programmes and budgetsSupport the project manager(s) with monitoring and reporting of project performance and change managementEnsure all work is executed in compliance with all company and client processesSupport the successful execution of assigned projects; safely, and in line with specification, budget and programmeSupport and promote all company and client site directives – HSEQ, best practice, innovations, continual improvementDevelopment and retain excellent working relationships with key stakeholdersMaintain up to date knowledge and competence to support the role and to align to client’s and industries’ requirements and directivesStrive for efficient delivery via initiatives such as “right first time” and “fit for purpose”Communicate and cooperate with and support all affected parties in order to support efficient and effective project deliveryRoles and ResponsibilitiesPrepare overall project costs and schedulesSupport project manager with development of the project programmeContribute to process risk assessments (PRA’s)Liaise with construction teams to gather information – estimates, methods of working, constructability, changeCoordinate the design process and team(s) activities, and ensure input from stakeholders - customers, operations, constructors, subcontractors, suppliers, maintenanceFacilitate a team of multi-discipline designers and engineers in the development of a fully detailed and approved detail design, ensuring all required aspects are considered (standards, directives, specifications and processes)Manage the procurement and expedition of equipment and materials, including the review and technical approval of specifications, purchase requisitions, acceptance criteria, supplier documentation and validation of performanceLiaise with planning dept to provide accurate resource and schedule informationFacilitate technical and project reviews and approvalsManage the production, issuing and control of project documentation deliverables, including final documentation packsSupport the construction and commissioning phases of the projectManage the technical query processDefine the commissioning and training (operation and maintenance) proceduresReview critical spares requirements and manage initial stores inventoryTake responsibility of the project(s) hand over and completionCollate, manage and report key indicator data – programme, cost, change, qualityHSEQ engagement (audit, TBT, etc)Qualifications and ExperienceRequired Degree / HND or equivalent in a Control &/orInstrumentation &/or Electrical Engineering disciplineHSEQ qualification (i.e. IOSH)Preferable Level 4 Project Control / Management QualificationCompEx – ExF (foundation) or Ex01-04 (Gas & Vapours),Ex05-06 (Dust), or Ex12 (Application Design Engineers)Functional Safety, IEC61508 – TUV or equivalentBS7671:2018 IET Wiring Regulations - C&G2382-15 or equivalentCDM regulationsExperience & Knowledge5 years recent experienced in an equivalent roleIndustrial sector EngineeringCOMAH Tier 1 Process Manufacturing EnvironmentMaintenance, shutdown / outage, project, OPEX & CAPEXFunctional SafetyATEX directiveElectricity at Work RegulationsControl and safety system hierarchy and communication protocolsCDMProject delivery lifecycle and processesEngineering design processDocument control processProcurement & expediting processesAll major Engineering disciplines – mechanical, structural, piping, EC&I, civil, process, etcEquipment and material specificationIndustrial plant construction, installation and modification processesVerification processes – pre-commissioning, commissioning, hand-overCommercial processes – estimating, budget, programmeStrong PC skills – MS Office, drafting tools, document databases, specialist Engineering design toolsRisk managementBudget managementTeam leadership and managementReporting and presentingPlanning and schedulingStrong presentation skillsQuite simply, a journey with Altrad begins with a desire to create a better tomorrow...
