Ruskin Mill Land Trust holds responsibility for land and building assets which it leases to Ruskin Mill Trust. By partnering with Ruskin Mill Trust, we help create lively centres for special needs education, arts and culture, festivals, social enterprise, and community initiatives. We also manage landscapes with woodlands, farms, market gardens, and a historic fish farm, all through holistic, biodynamic agriculture.
Ruskin Mill Land Trust (The Trust) and Ruskin Mill Trust (RMT) are separate, sister charities inspired by shared principles from Ruskin, Morris, and Steiner. RMT operates various schools, colleges, and provisions across the country, utilizing practical land and craft activities to support young people with autism spectrum conditions and other learning differences. The post holder, as a key member of the Ruskin Mill Land Trust team, will be responsible for:
* The stewardship of the Trust’s estates and assets
* Management and effective utilization of all property, considering environmental, aesthetic, financial, town planning, and land use factors
* Ensuring proper use and maintenance of property assets, including farms, woodland, listed buildings, former industrial sites, and residential properties
* Collaborating with Trust professionals such as the Trust Head of Property, Biodynamic Land Manager, Architects, Environmental and Energy Managers, Legal Team, CFO, and Executive Director to develop strategic plans for property development and management
To undertake this role, candidates should have:
* A Chartered Surveyor or Registered Architect
* Experience in property and estate management
