Boom! Community Arts is looking for a Development & Partnerships Lead to join their team.


Overview:

* Freelance contract: 1 day (7 hours) per week
* Language: English
* Location: Remote (Glasgow, Scotland)
* Salary: £175 per day

Job Description

Boom! Community Arts is a very small community arts charity working primarily in the North of Glasgow. Our team currently consists of a Fundraising & Finance Manager, and Marketing & Project Coordinator (both working 1 day p/w), a pool of sessional art workshop leaders, and a volunteer Board. The Development & Partnerships Lead would join the Fundraising & Finance Manager and Marketing & Project Coordinator, working collaboratively to form the core admin team.

We are about to undertake a piece of work supported by Just Enterprise to increase earned income. Our aim is to improve the financial sustainability of the organisation, in order to enable growth. The post holder would be the key driver in launching this work.

We are interested in exploring a range of options including work commensurate with a social enterprise model, as well as projects and contracts. We wish to become more integrated with relevant networks in the city, and explore opportunities in working with other organisations.


Responsibilities

* To be the driver of development and implementation of earned income streams.
* Creating and monitoring project budgets
* Leading on partnership development, including networking with organisations and artists
* Measuring progress of work against strategic goals
* Completing any reporting relevant to the role, including monitoring and reporting to the Board on organisational progress against strategic goals
* Collaborating with other contractors to contribute to the general running of the organisation


Role Requirements

* Experience of developing earned income generation streams
* Experience of working within the Glasgow arts scene, with a particular focus on community arts
* Experience of building connections with like-minded organisations for mutual benefit
* Experience of leading on partnership work
* Practical experience of creating and monitoring project budgets
* Excellent communicator
