Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Senior Business Development Manager to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.
We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.
The Senior Business Development Manager, will be responsible for:
* Identify, target and secure new opportunities for Energy Advisory services including data management, procurement, invoice and risk management, research and renewables across both private and public sectors.
* Achieve and exceed a personal sales target of £2m annualised revenue.
* Build a strong pipeline through self‑generated opportunities, networking, and leveraging existing client portfolio.
* Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, bid development, pricing, presentations, negotiation and contract close.
* Build senior‑level relationships with CFOs, COOs, Sustainability Directors and Estate Managers.
* Understand client challenges relating to cost reduction, carbon reduction, compliance and ESG, translating these into tailored solutions.
* Position client as a long‑term strategic partner through cross‑selling Consulting and Energy Solutions services.
* Work closely with technical specialists, solution architects and delivery teams to scope compelling and deliverable solutions.
* Collaborate with Heads of Department and marketing to develop campaigns, case studies and thought‑leadership content.
* Provide accurate sales forecasts and market intelligence via Salesforce CRM.
* Maintain strong awareness of energy market trends, government policy and funding mechanisms relevant to EPCs and sustainability.
* Represent client at industry events, conferences and roundtables.
To be successful for this Senior Business Development Manager role you must have:
* Proven track record in business development with consistent achievement of £1m+ annual sales targets.
* Strong knowledge of Energy Advisory and sustainability services.
* Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to shape complex solutions and contracts.
* Skilled communicator able to present to senior stakeholders and close high‑value deals.
* Ability to influence at C‑suite level and build long‑term client relationships.
* Strong proposal writing, bid management and negotiation skills.
* Highly motivated, resilient and results‑driven.
* Degree in Business, Engineering, Energy or a related discipline (desirable).
* Professional memberships (Energy Institute, CIBSE, IEMA) advantageous.
* Evidence of CPD in energy management, decarbonisation or sustainability preferred.
