Senior Quantity Surveyor – Heritage Refurbishment Project (Tooting, London)

Salary: £85,000 + £5,000 car allowance + bonus + benefits

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a respected residential developer on a high-end heritage refurbishment project in Tooting, South London .
This role would suit a commercially astute and detail-driven SQS with proven experience working on refurbishment or restoration projects, ideally within heritage or listed building environments. You'll be joining a well-established business with a strong reputation for delivering architecturally sensitive residential developments across the UK.
The Role:
Oversee all commercial and cost management aspects of a major heritage-led residential refurbishment project.
Manage subcontractor procurement, tendering, and cost control.
Work closely with project teams to ensure delivery to budget and programme.
Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Provide commercial insight and reporting to senior management.
Experience Required:
Proven track record as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on refurbishment or heritage projects (residential or mixed-use).
Strong understanding of traditional construction methods and the unique challenges of working on listed buildings.
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Package:
£85,000 basic salary
£5,000 car allowance
Annual bonus (approx. 10% based on individual and company performance)
33 days annual leave (including bank holidays, with Christmas shutdown)
