We are currently recruiting for an experienced Change & Release Manager to join our friendly team based in Birstall, working on a hybrid basis. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for governing and coordinating all aspects of IT Change Management while ensuring smooth delivery of Releases into our production environment.
You will play a central role in ensuring that IT services remain stable and reliable by managing the risk and impact of changes, whilst also providing structure and control for the planning, scheduling, and deployment of releases.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
* Managing the end-to-end Change Management process, ensuring all changes are logged, assessed, authorised, scheduled, and reviewed in line with ITIL best practices.
* Chairing and facilitating Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and informed.
* Assessing change requests for risk, impact, priority, and readiness before approval.
* Ensuring compliance with change policies and governance frameworks.
* Monitoring and reporting on change success rates, failures, and unauthorised changes.
* Coordinating with technical teams to manage the planning and execution of releases, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
* Maintaining a forward schedule of change and release calendar, providing visibility to stakeholders.
* Conducting post-implementation reviews to validate the effectiveness and outcomes of changes/releases.
* Driving continual improvement of change and release processes to enhance efficiency, consistency, and governance.
Qualifications
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience working in a similar role as a Change Manager, Release Manager, or IT Service Management professional.
* Strong understanding of Change and Release Management processes within the ITIL framework.
* Proven ability to assess risk and impact of changes across infrastructure, applications, and services.
* Experience in facilitating CAB meetings and engaging senior stakeholders.
* Familiarity with IT infrastructure and services, including cloud, networks, and applications.
* Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar platforms.
* ITIL certification (Foundation or above) is preferred but not mandatory
