Position
An opportunity has arisen for a Student Health Visitor at Stevenston Health Centre.
What you will do:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a highly motivated registered nurse/midwife to undertake postgraduate studies in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) - Health Visiting. You need to be registered on part 1 or 2 of the NMC register and possess a first degree as part of the admission criteria for the programme of learning. Practical assessment and academic learning are carried out by both university staff and the Health and Social Care Partnership staff.
You will be supported to attend a SCPHN Health Visiting course on a full-time basis, commencing September 2025.
Annex 21 conditions will apply.
During this period, you will be employed as a Health Visitor Student. It is important to note that as a full-time student, attendance at university and all holidays will be set by the university. Practice placements will be arranged in various locations across North Ayrshire Children & Families Health Service, supported by Practice Assessors and Supervisors.

Knowledge, training, and/or experience required to do the job:
* Registered nurse or midwife at degree level or equivalent
* Post-registration qualification in Health Visiting/Public Health Nursing and be registered on Part 3 of the NMC register
* Educated to Masters level in a relevant nursing area, or
* Can demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge gained through, for example, completion of NES modules on Assessment
* Can provide advice using significant understanding and application of legislation relating to information sharing, data storage, and public protection
* Knowledge of health and social care pathways related to safeguarding, early intervention, and protection
