Position: Finishing Operator

Hours: 6am-2pm
Salary: £26k + Bonus

Purpose of a Finishing Operator:
To aid in the smooth running of all production areas as to successfully meet all deadlines and targets.
To inspect and/or overprint, edit and pack labels using the appropriate machinery, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
To always work and operate machinery in a safe manner and compliant with the Company Health and Safety Policy COPOL 5.0.
Day to day duties of a Finishing Operator:
To set and operate label finishing equipment including roll rewinding and fanfolding.
To inspect and control the quality of finished product using electronic and visual means by comparison to specifications, removing any substandard work.
It is your specific responsibility to check that the job is correct for print register, colour and materials using the appropriate print spec and/or spec card for comparison. Any apparent discrepancies must be reported to your manager for instructions.
To identify individual rolls and packs in accordance with Production procedures.
Completion of relevant job documentation.
To ensure the equipment for which you are responsible is properly maintained and is always in proper working order, reporting any faults immediately to your manager and enter details in the machine maintenance book.
To ensure the equipment and working area for which you are responsible are kept clean and are thoroughly cleaned weekly. No machine will be cleaned whilst in motion.
To be aware of and follow all applicable procedures contained in the Production procedures manual, an up-to-date copy of which should be maintained at your workstation.If you are interested in this role, please apply today.
