About the role
We have an opportunity for an Insurance Advisor to join our thriving NFU Mutual team in Cobham, where you’ll play a key part in our ongoing success in the high-net-worth (HNW) market.
Your focus will be to build relationships with new and existing high-net-worth customers across Surrey and London suburbs, educating them on the full range of NFU Mutual products and referring leads appropriately to meet their current and future requirements. Continually moving the business forward, you’ll grow our profile and reputation for insuring private customers within the community and drive performance of our exclusive products in Cobham and the wider area.
You’ll focus on new business development, combining insight, empathy and expertise to create insurance solutions that feel personal. Whether visiting clients in their homes, hosting networking events, or partnering with our marketing team, you’ll bring NFU Mutual’s reputation for service to life. With the support of an account management team, you’ll have the space to do what you do best — connect with people, understand their world, and deliver advice that stands the test of time.
This is a hybrid role. Your working week will be flexible and consist of working from home, in our Cobham office and London working spaces, and attending client visits and networking events. You’ll enjoy autonomy day-to-day, the backing of an award-winning brand, and a collaborative team that shares your pride in doing things properly.
This role falls under Insurance Distribution Directive requirements, and as a result, role holders will be required to demonstrate ongoing Continuous Professional Development in role, along with undergoing regular re-screening to show that they are of “Good Repute”. About you
You’re an experienced sales professional who understands what it takes to win and retain the trust of discerning clients. Experience working with high-value clients — whether in insurance, financial services or another premium market — will help you thrive in this role. You combine commercial drive with integrity, and take genuine satisfaction in helping people protect their homes, collections and lifestyles with care.
You’ll bring:
4. Proven high-net-worth private client sales experience
5. Ideally, knowledge of HNW insurance or financial services within a regulated environment
6. A full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel to meet clients face to face
7. The ability to engage and influence through strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
8. A proactive, well-organised approach, balancing time and priorities effectively
9. A genuine customer focus, building long-term relationships through trust and professionalism
