Role Overview
Administration & Engagement Officer - PDNA - Location: Cambridge
Full-time salary: £24,784.50 (part-time salary: £14,870.70 for 22.5 hrs per week)
Key Responsibilities
* Drive higher programme uptake by targeting and reducing PDNA patient levels
* Make outbound telephone calls to programme PDNA patients
* Proactively communicate with underserved groups, including educating patients on the benefits of participating in the programme
* Document and record PDNA contact attempts and patient feedback
* Evaluate, adapt, and recommend improvements to PDNA contact strategies based on feedback received
* Provide monthly reports on PDNA contact attempts, patient feedback, and progress in reducing PDNA percentages
* Track and evaluate PDNA patients through their screening pathway, determining whether they attended the clinic
* Focus engagement efforts on underserved groups, such as individuals with learning disabilities, diverse ethnic communities, patients in areas of greater deprivation, and non‑responders
* Engage and liaise with mental health units, large care homes, universities and military establishments to ensure the screening service meets their specific needs and promotes high uptake and coverage
What You Will Do
* Be confident and articulate on the telephone
* Understand the importance of patient confidentiality and data protection
* Promote a risk-management culture and report business/workplace risks as required
* Demonstrate competent computer skills and troubleshoot basic technical issues
* Work in the best interest of the patient, treating them with respect and dignity
* Exercise judgment and make decisions within legislation and company policy; refer matters not covered by policy to the Programme Manager or Director of Governance and Clinical Services
* Assume responsibility for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults in daily duties and be aware of relevant duties

* Undertake the allocated IG Training Tool Modules and sign the Security Commitment Form after reading the Security Policy
Qualifications and Experience
* GCSE or equivalent education
* Experience in NHS screening programmes or a healthcare environment
* Experience in handling telephone calls with customer/patient interactions
* Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office and other IT packages
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality requirements
* Previous experience of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults is an asset
