Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong mechanical background, along with proficiency in various technical skills including fabrication, welding, and electrical work.
Responsibilities
Making sure all tasks are carried out under health & safety regulations
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Perform diagnostics using schematics to identify faults and implement effective solutions.
Carry out work on a wide range of commercial vehicles
Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used for each vehicle.
Experience
Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HGV maintenance and repair. (Level 3 Heavy Service & Maintenance qualification desirable)
Familiarity with electrical systems within heavy vehicles is essential.
Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
There is a 6 month probation period and the starting wage is £18.00 Per hour, which will be reviewed on passing the probationary period.
