Care and Support Assistant
* We are seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join our close-knit care team, providing exceptional care and support to our residents.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about caring for the elderly, committed to delivering excellent service, and possess strong communication skills.
You will be responsible for assisting residents with their daily routines, promoting independence, and ensuring their overall health and happiness are prioritized every day.
Responsibilities:
* Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily tasks, from getting dressed to staying active, while encouraging positive choices.
* Personalized Care: Follow and support each resident's personalized care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention.
* Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents' health, communicate concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assist with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
* Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for in every interaction.
* Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
* Safety and Comfort: Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, responding quickly to emergencies or call bells.
* Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
About You:
* Qualifications: SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
* Experience: At least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with a passion for care and transferable skills.
* Passion: A genuine interest in caring for the elderly and commitment to delivering excellent service.
