Who You Are As an experienced agency social worker, you will join the Rhondda Cynon Taf West Learning Disability Team. You should have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of adults with learning disabilities in the West of the borough, particularly the Rhondda area. You will be part of an experienced and supportive team, embracing collaboration and independence in your approach. What the job involves Your role will involve safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of adults by providing high-quality social work services, including assessment, care planning, and review. You will undertake assessments in line with the Social Services and Well-Being Act (Wales) 2014 and develop care and support plans as needed. This includes conducting Mental Capacity Assessments, assessing and balancing risks, and working collaboratively with other agencies where appropriate. You must ensure that all records and plans are accurately maintained and updated according to departmental policies. The role requires travel within the service area and remote work, with one office day a week.
