Company Description

Marie Curie is the UKs leading end-of-life charity. Company Description

Marie Curie is the UKs leading end-of-life charity. We are the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, the only provider across all 4 nations, delivering community nursing and hospice care across the country, while providing information and support on all aspects of dying, death, and bereavement.

Our leading research pushes the boundaries of what we know about good end-of-life, and our campaigns fight for a world where everyone gets to have the best possible quality of life while living with an illness they’re likely to die from.

The care and support we provide is highly valued by the people we care for and their loved ones, but at present we are only reaching around 10% of dying people at the end of life. Right now, one in four people in the UK with a terminal illness, do not get the care or support they deserve at the end of their lives.

Job Description

We have a full-time vacancy for a Senior Nurse to join our team in Cornwall. This is a homeworking role, with expectations to travel as the service requires, either within the community or to our offices in Camborne and will require you to have provisions in place to work effectively.

As a Senior Nurse you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the care provided in the community. Your primary responsibilities will include managing care standards and investigating safeguarding incidents, alongside line managing a team of Healthcare Assistants (HCAs).

This position is predominantly managerial rather than clinical, offering significant scope for professional development. We are looking for someone who is passionate about innovative approaches to palliative care and eager to contribute to new and exciting projects within a forward-thinking charity.

In this role you'll be part of a supportive team that truly cares about you and your development, and for that reason we are looking for someone who is interested in their own personal career progression.
