We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate guidance counsellor to join our guidance team to provide high-quality counselling and pastoral care to students. We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and fostering well-being in a dynamic educational environment.
About the role:
You will provide confidential counselling services to students from Y1–13 and their families, all while supporting students through remedial, preventative, and developmental guidance. You will respond to incidents in line with College policies and will maintain accurate and secure records. The role also facilitates mediation, conflict resolution, and well-being programmes. You will contribute to the College’s pastoral care system and policy development. The role delivers presentations and seminars on adolescent development and parenting and you will participate in co-curricular activities and the wider life of the College.
About you:
a qualified, fully registered and experienced counsellor, social worker or psychologist with excellent communication skills;
a strong understanding of adolescent development and pastoral care;
commitment to positive psychology and well-being practices;
personal qualities of integrity, empathy, and approachability;
ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
