Lead the development of new verticals in business development; namely redevelopment, plotted developments, and stressed assets acquisition with an immediate focus on growing redevelopment into a 1000 Cr per annum GDV business Build the ‘new verticals’ team through a mix of external hiring of specialists and internal growth through training and mentoring As one of two direct reports to the CBDO, ensure the smooth functioning of BD as a department through relationship building with internal and external stakeholders, and drive team building within the BD team Principal Responsibilities Project/Land Acquisition Originate, evaluate, and present land opportunities. Working with IPCs, local intermediaries, investment bankers, NBFC’s, and potential companies for sourcing and maintaining appropriate deal flow. Initiate and follow through the pre-term sheet and post-term sheet legal and technical due diligence process. Meeting with landowners to discuss deal terms, negotiate and closing of transaction terms. Working closely with the management to present deal structure, funding plan and ensure all internal approvals are sought Assisting/coordinating the entire deal process including due diligence, preparing Investment Memorandums for management, deal documentation right through till deal closure. Help in building long term relations with external stakeholders and maintaining a relevant network to ensure excellent market intelligence. Go To Market Anchor the go-to-market process for each project originated by this team and work closely with stakeholders from each function to ensure underwriting timelines Hold functions accountable to the under writing business model w.r.t. to pricing, velocity and costs and ensure that the pre-launch project financials are at par (or better) than the underwriting case.
