Interim Schools Job Evaluation SpecialistLocation: Birmingham (Hybrid working)

About the Role
A large public sector organisation is seeking an experienced HR professional with strong expertise in school operations and job evaluation to support its Schools Job Evaluation programme. This is a critical role providing technical advice, guidance, and hands-on support to schools and their HR providers during the review and update of Job Descriptions and Person Specifications (JDPS).
Key Responsibilities
1. Liaise with schools to clarify existing roles and assist in developing updated JDPS documents, including writing person specifications.
2. Provide advice and guidance to schools and HR providers on organisational policy during JD reviews and JD workshops.
3. Examples include addressing duties outside the original JD, assessing job redesign needs, and rectifying historic pay anomalies (, first-aider allowances).
4. Offer technical advice and support for dispute resolution processes, including attendance at dispute panels and casework alignment with organisational policies.
5. Ensure employer policies and guidance are accessible, wellmunicated, and meet the needs of schools.
6. Troubleshoot ad hoc issues at the interface of Job Evaluation, policy, school practice, and independent HR advisors.
Expertise Required
7. Strong understanding of school operations and HR practices.
8. In-depth knowledge of roles within schools and associated grading structures.
9. Ability to interpret and apply employer responsibilities and policies.
10. Skilled in navigatingplex issues and problem-solving.
11. Excellentmunication and stakeholder management skills.
