We are seeking a home-based Field Service Engineer to support paper manufacturing customers in the Kent area, with a primary client site in Sittingbourne. As part of the Southern Service Team, you will provide 24/7 technical support for QCS systems, ensuring high performance and service excellence.
Following initial product training, you will take ownership of delivering Service Agreement commitments through preventative and corrective maintenance, technical support, and strong customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide on-site and remote technical support, including out-of-hours assistance
* Deliver Service Agreement scope, including preventative and corrective maintenance on QCS systems
* Perform configuration, calibration, modification, cleaning, and system adjustments
* Participate in a 1 week in 3 on-call rota
* Use ServicePro and other reporting tools to document activities
* Provide application support and software troubleshooting
* Advise customers on maintenance procedures, operational methods, process measurement, and control
* Build strong working relationships across production and engineering teams
* Travel across the UK as required
Qualifications
* Minimum HNC in Electrical or Measurement & Control Engineering (essential)
* Clean UK driving licence (essential)
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
* Strong customer focus and communication skills
* Results-oriented with good networking ability
* Knowledge of the paper industry (desirable)
* Experience with QCS systems (desirable)
* Commercial awareness (desirable)
