Work with Walsingham and make a real difference to people's lives
Walsingham Support has been operating across England and Wales since 1986. We enhance the lives of people with learning disabilities, autism, and other complex needs.
We're different because we pride ourselves on putting the people we support at the centre of everything we do. We do this by delivering specifically tailored support for every individual we work with.
1. As a valued member of our team, each Female Support Worker helps deliver the quality-of-life people with disabilities deserve, supporting our service users to reach their full potential.
2. You will help ensure that Walsingham Support's care is high quality and person-centred, tailoring care to each individual's needs and lifestyle.
3. It is your duty to maintain a high-quality environment for those we support.
4. You will work from a care plan, assisting with daily tasks such as personal care, meal prep, housekeeping, emotional support, social activities, and community visits.
We really care about our staff and offer a wide range of benefits:
* Favourable working hours, including part-time roles and bank positions.
* 28 days annual leave, increasing to 38 days based on service length.
* Double pay on bank holidays.
* Life assurance equal to three times your salary.
* Bereavement helpline.
* Walsingham Rewards Scheme with discounts on everyday items.
* Exceptional training and professional development opportunities.
* Long service awards.
* Recommend a friend bonus of £250.
This role offers variety and the chance to build genuine relationships. No prior experience is necessary; we provide all required training!
About the role:
We support three individuals in a service who enjoy going into town, cooking, and shopping. They aim to increase independence at home and in the community, and we seek staff to promote this growth. They enjoy hobbies like beauty care, painting nails, fashion, and crafts. You will support them in expanding community activities, joining groups, making friends, managing shopping, and planning menus.
Our values:
Walsingham Support aspires to be the employer of choice in social care. We want our team members to embody values that enable our service users to lead fulfilled lives. Joining us offers an opportunity to develop your career while making a positive impact.
Do you have the qualities to be a great Support Worker? We want dedicated people like you!
