Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this post. An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of health and wellbeing worker on Stevenson Ward at the Harbour! This role will involve working with adult female mental health inpatients to support them with accessing meaningful activity during their admissions. Examples of this may be around supporting patients to access the gym and sports hall, leading on art and craft, baking groups on the ward, etc. It is expected that the right person for the job will have the skills to work both autonomously and as part of the wider ward team. You will be supported by colleagues on the ward, as well as the wider occupational therapy team who will provide support and guidance. This can be a challenging role, but a very rewarding role for the right person. Work as an integrated member of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT), working within a rotational shift system to support service users according to their care needs, some of whom may present with problematic or challenging behaviour. The key areas being: • Contribute to, and participate in the on-going support of service users and their carers and help gain/re-gain Activities of Daily Living. • Contribute to the protection of service users, from abuse. • Contribute to the health, safety and security of service users and their environment. • Obtain, transmit and store information relating to the delivery of a care service.
