We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Female PE Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident practitioner who can deliver high-quality teaching, raise attainment, and inspire a genuine love of PE in students across KS3 and KS4.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that stretch and challenge students of all abilities. You will play an active role in shaping the PE curriculum, supporting departmental development, and ensuring strong progress and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Teach PE to KS3 and KS4, with consistently strong outcomes
Plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons in line with curriculum requirements
Use data effectively to monitor progress and implement targeted interventions
Contribute to the ongoing development of schemes of work and resources
Maintain excellent behaviour management and a positive learning environment
Work collaboratively with the PE department and wider school team
Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and professional conduct
What We’re Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / Teaching Qualification (QTLS/PGCE)
Substantial experience teaching PE in a UK secondary setting
Proven track record of improving progress and attainment
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics
Confidence in delivering challenge, stretch and support where needed
Excellent communication, organisation and behaviour management skills
