Occupational Therapist – Adult Services
Location: Barnet
Hours per week: 36 hours
Rate per hour: £33.43 per hour
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to deliver a high-quality service to adults in Barnet, supporting independence, wellbeing and safeguarding responsibilities under relevant legislation and local authority policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide professional OT assessments for older adults, people with physical/sensory needs, learning disabilities and their carers, in line with the Adult Social Care Outcomes Framework.
2. Safeguard adults at risk, applying Making Safeguarding Personal (MSP) principles.
3. Complete and review individualised, outcomes-led care and support plans, keeping wellbeing at the centre of all decision-making.
4. Support people to maintain health, independence and resilience by offering clear information, advice, and signposting to preventative services.
5. Promote a culture of continuous learning, development and high-quality practice within the service.
Requirements
6. HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
7. Recognised Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
8. Experience working with adults, older people, physical disabilities, sensory needs or learning disabilities.
9. Strong understanding of Care Act legislation, safeguarding responsibilities and strengths-based practice.
10. Ability to complete comprehensive OT assessments, moving & handling recommendations, and outcomes-focused support plans.
11. Effective communication skills and confidence working independently within a multi-disciplinary environment.
