Billing Administrator / Commercial Administrator Location: Salford, Manchester Salary: Circa £25,000 (flexible for the right candidate) My client is a well-established construction company based in Salford, Manchester, specialising in general construction, responsive repairs, and special works. With a growing client base and increasing workload, they are looking for a Billing Administrator / Commercial Administrator to support the commercial and accounts team. This role is key to ensuring the responsive repairs and project works are invoiced accurately and efficiently. If you have a keen eye for detail, experience working with schedules of rates, and an understanding of how to build costs across trades, I want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities: * Preparing invoice-ready documentation based on completed works * Accurately breaking down and costing tasks using a Schedule of Rates * Using Eque2 Construction Manager software to manage jobs and commercial data * Understanding trade-specific work (e.g., plumbing, joinery, electrical) to price correctly * Tendering for smaller works packages (typically £100–£350) * Reviewing supplier/subcontractor invoices and cross-referencing with purchase orders Who You’ll Be Working With: You’ll support invoicing and job costing across a wide range of frameworks and clients, including: * Salford City Council (approx. 1,235 jobs/year) * SK Group (Domino’s Pizza) * Betfred * Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) * Various councils, schools, NHS and housing associations * Newly appointed to the Bolton Council framework About You: * Experience in a commercial, billing, or admin role within construction or maintenance * Familiarity with Schedules of Rates and building up costs from works data * Confident with software (experience with Eque2 preferred but not essential) * Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume workload (approx. 3,400 jobs/year) * Good communication skills for liaising with internal teams and subcontractors
