Manufacturing Engineers - Aerospace Industry
A globally leading Aerospace company is seeking several Manufacturing Engineers to join their team on a long-term contract basis. This is an exciting chance to work on world-class programmes in a highly regulated environment, driving excellence in machining and lean manufacturing processes.
* Contract: 12 months (with strong potential for extension)
Rate: £49 per hour (Inside IR35)
* Location: Bristol or Derby
* Interview: 1 stage, face-to-face (competency-based: behavioural & technical)
Essential Skills & Experience
* Previously worked in a highly regulated environment such as Aerospace, Automotive/Motorsport, Marine, Pharma etc.
* Strong knowledge of machining processes (Laser, grinding, milling, EDM).
* Proven background in Six Sigma/Lean methodologies with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Role Responsibilities
* Ensure manufacturing processes are compliant with Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
* Guarantee manufacturing processes and suppliers deliver parts to design specification.
* Champion a culture of zero defects and drive the adoption of digital systems to achieve Right First Time quality.
* Develop, validate, maintain, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to meet requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery, and lead time.
* Capture, analyse, and use data to demonstrate and enhance current and future manufacturing capability.
