In this critical role, you'll be a key player in maintaining high-performance network environments and delivering vital projects that keep our clients connected and secure.
Role Overview
* Location: Remote based, with travel to client sites (South West/Midlands)
What You’ll Be Doing
* Monitor and manage network infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and performance
* Respond swiftly to network alerts, incidents, and outages to minimise disruption
* Lead the deployment and configuration of network projects, including WAN, LAN, and wireless solutions
* Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and internal teams to support network upgrades and onboarding
* Assist in securing network environments through best practice configuration and security measures
Main Skills Needed
* Extensive experience managing enterprise or managed network infrastructure, preferably within an MSP environment
* Strong grasp of networking fundamentals: routing, switching, and secure connectivity
* Firewalls (Cisco, Meraki, WatchGuard): policy creation, VPNs, NAT, HA
* Routing & Switching: VLANs, STP, QoS, OSPF/BGP, trunking, redundancy
* Network documentation and topology diagrams
* Change management and ITIL service transitions
* Scripting/automation exposure (Python, Ansible, PowerShell) beneficial not essential
