Join to apply for the Engagement Manager, UKI Engagement Manager team role at AWS. The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team seeks a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. You will combine technical expertise with strong project leadership to drive successful implementations of AWS-based solutions, bridging business requirements with technical solutions and facilitating technical discussions to ensure alignment with customer outcomes. You will apply AWS frameworks like Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework while distilling customer needs into clear technical requirements, decomposing complex problems, and making trade-off decisions related to performance, scalability, security, and business impact.
The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team that helps customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives, delivering guidance through our global specialty practices across various solutions, technologies, and industries.
Responsibilities
* Leading and managing complex cloud migration, modernization and implementation projects.
* Leveraging comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning.
* Bridging business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions, and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes.
* Distilling customer needs into clear technical requirements and mapping them to business outcomes.
* Decomposing complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions.
* Contributing to technical documentation and defining documentation standards.
Basic Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud computing.
* Experience in project management of technical programs.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
* AWS experience preferred.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.
* Strong understanding of AWS services, architectures, and best practices.
* Experience applying AWS frameworks like Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework.
* Proven ability to establish technical credibility with engineering teams and senior technical decision-makers.
