Overview
Would you like to join our friendly Maternity Ward Clerk team at Scarborough Hospital? In this role you will provide a wide range of Ward Clerk administrative tasks, including clerical support and reception duties within the Maternity Unit. The role is varied and busy, and you will also provide clerical support across the wider Women’s Health department when required. This vacancy will provide 24/7 cover to the Maternity Unit, which includes weekends and night shifts. Unsocial rates of pay apply. Full and part-time positions are available.

You must be self-disciplined, motivated and empathetic to all those you come into contact with. It is essential that you can prioritise your own workload, possess sound communication skills, work as part of a team, but also exercise initiative within set parameters.

Responsibilities
* Provide Ward Clerk administrative tasks, clerical support and reception duties within the Maternity Unit.
* Provide clerical support across the wider Women’s Health department as required.
* Prioritise workload, maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the team.
* Work as part of a team and exercise initiative within set parameters.

* Computer literate; able to use Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.
