Pay Mechanism : Direct Pay Mechanism
Pay Rates : £23 - £25 per hour
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct advanced diagnostic tests and analyses in a clinical laboratory setting.
* Interpret and report results with accuracy and precision.
* Ensure adherence to quality control and quality assurance protocols.
* Collaborate with medical and healthcare professionals to support patient care.
* Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures as required.
* Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff and trainees.
* Uphold and implement laboratory safety standards and practices.
Essential Requirements
* Qualification: Degree in Biomedical Science or related field; HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
* Experience: Proven recent experience of at least 1 year in NHS setup in a similar role within a clinical or hospital laboratory.
* Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge: In-depth understanding of laboratory techniques and procedures.
* Personal Attributes: High level of attention to detail; excellent communication skills; ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
Desirable Attributes
* Additional qualifications or training in specialized areas of biomedical science.
* Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
