Manpower is partnering with a leading manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Wigan. This is a hands-on role supporting the maintenance team in a busy production environment, helping keep machinery running smoothly and ensuring minimal downtime.
Location: Wigan
Hours: Monday–Friday, 3-shift rotation
Shift Pattern:
* Monday–Thursday: 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm / 10pm–6am
* Friday: 6am–12pm / 12pm–6pm / 6pm–12am
Key Responsibilities:
* Respond to breakdowns and carry out reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance
* Conduct planned maintenance (PM) and record actions
* Perform condition-based monitoring (CBM) of machinery
* Manage spare parts and coordinate maintenance with the operations team
* Analyse plant performance to identify improvements
* Maintain safety, health, and environmental standards
Candidate Profile:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a maintenance or engineering role
* Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent
* HNC in Electrical Engineering desirable
* Experience with AC/DC equipment, inverters, and PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred)
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
