The primary team at Teaching Personnel are looking for a SEN specialist TA to support in a long term role 1:1 in a school we work with in Bishop Auckland.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Providing one-to-one support to a pupil during lessons, breaktimes, and transitions throughout the school day.
• Helping to create a calm, encouraging and safe learning environment where your pupil can flourish.
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to adapt learning tasks and ensure the pupil’s individual needs are met.
• Using your creativity and emotional intelligence to turn everyday moments into joyful learning experiences.
• Celebrating every achievement — big or small — because you’ll be part of their journey.
The qualities we look for:
• You have a genuine love for working with children, especially those who need a bit of extra support to unlock their potential.
• You’re patient, resilient and full of positive energy — ready to guide, support and champion your pupil every step of the way.
• You’re a great communicator who works well with teachers, parents and other staff.
• Experience in a primary school or supporting SEND is helpful, but what really matters is your attitude, empathy and commitment.
• (Bonus points if you’ve worked with children with autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs!)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
