Working Pattern: Teachers Full Time

The PRIDE Academy is a secondary special school in the London Borough of Hillingdon, dedicated to supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. We provide education for pupils aged 11 to 19, offering a varied curriculum with a strong focus on practical skills and enrichment opportunities.

We are looking for a resilient and dedicated IT Teacher who is passionate about supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver engaging and adaptive IT lessons within a structured and supportive environment, helping students to build confidence, independence and essential digital skills. You will play a key role in promoting positive engagement with learning, fostering resilience, and preparing students for life beyond education through the safe and effective use of technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver differentiated IT lessons to meet the diverse needs of SEMH students.

Develop and implement individualised learning plans.

Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

Utilise a variety of teaching methods to engage students and promote digital literacy.

Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support student development.

Key Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a relevant qualification in IT, Computing or a related subject.

Experience of delivering engaging and differentiated IT/Computing lessons across a range of abilities.

Strong subject knowledge, including programming, digital literacy and online safety.

Ability to manage behaviour effectively and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and support student progress.
