First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Forklift Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.
As a Forklift Engineer, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on forklift trucks and various machinery, ensuring the highest standard of service and safety. This role involves a combination of site-based and fieldwork, providing an exciting opportunity for those who enjoy hands-on technical work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform repairs and maintenance using appropriate tools and equipment, adhering to approved techniques.
2. Utilise standard computer applications, internet resources, and manufacturers’ service portals effectively.
3. Operate and test vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes.
4. Demonstrate familiarity with manufacturers’ products.
5. Conduct diagnostics and execute repairs on forklift trucks and other machinery within site-based and field environments.
6. Ensure timely and high-quality completion of all required reports and administrative tasks.
7. Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
8. Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge promptly.
9. Maintain a clean work environment, using tools and vehicles correctly at all times.
Skills and Qualifications:
10. Preferred experience in performing service repairs within the forklift industry.
11. Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
12. Prior electrical experience would be desirable.
13. Possession of a Full Driving License.
14. Strong IT skills.
15. Excellent customer service skills.
16. Ability to work independently with self-initiative.
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £32,000 – £37,000
