Beech Ward is a 24-bedded specialist unit caring for patients with a range of cardiorespiratory conditions. We are looking for a Healthcare Support Worker who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and supporting patients through their recovery journey.
What we’re looking for:
1. A kind and empathetic individual with a genuine interest in patient care.
2. Good communication and teamwork skills.
3. A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Main duties of the job
4. Assisting patients with personal care and daily activities.
5. Supporting the nursing team in delivering safe and effective care.
6. Helping to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming ward environment.
7. Providing emotional support to patients and their families.
· Interviews for this position will be held in person ONLY at (hospital site). Remote interviews will not be available.
· The validity of Nursing and Midwifery Council PIN will be checked before shortlisting (Only applicable to registered roles) - inaccuracies in NMC PIN details will mean your application will not be progressed

Essential criteria
15. Basic literacy/ numeracy skills preferably gained through secondary school education
16. Willingness to undertake training
Desirable criteria
17. NVQ/ QCF Level 2 in a health related subject
Experience

18. Detailed understanding of the role of a HCA
19. Awareness of what is important to a patient
