Job Description
The Packaging and Graphics Designer is responsible for conceptualizing and developing packaging artworks and graphics for Frasers Group’s own-brand categories, primarily for Sports Direct. The role includes guiding and mentoring junior team members on their briefs. The designer must understand manufacturing processes, production methods, and materials, managing a diverse workload while maintaining high standards. Effective communication with colleagues and buyers about design concepts is essential.
The designer will create artworks for all consumer packaging, including primary and secondary packs, ensuring suitability for production while maintaining brand integrity. Delivering high-quality work in a timely and cost-effective manner is crucial.
Qualifications
* 2-5 years of experience in a design discipline, preferably in packaging or graphic design
* Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop)
* Ability to generate ideas and concepts based on product packaging briefs
* Experience creating cohesive packaging for various brands, adhering to brand guidelines
* Knowledge of different packaging materials and finishes
* Experience working with factories and managing end-to-end processes from artwork to execution
* Problem-solving skills and ability to suggest improvements
* Project management experience with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget
* Understanding of sustainability regulations and messaging
