The Role and the people you will support
Through tailored care plans, our friendly team support 4 ladies in one house and 3 ladies in another with various learning disabilities to live in their own home where they can achieve their individual goals and live their best life. This role involves supporting the ladies in their day to day lives which includes housework, personal care, making meals and attending appointments. As a Support Practitioner we’ll need you to be flexible in your approach whilst being able to follow guidelines.
About You
You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills and will give you all the training you'll need if you're successful. We'll even put you through your SVQ qualification too!
Requirements
* Full UK driving licence
* A caring and compassionate attitude.
* The ability to work well in a team.
* Great communication and organisational skills.
* A positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
* Good administration skills.
* Confidence in the use of technology.
For this role, it would be beneficial if you had a full UK manual driving licence with a years experience on the roads but this isn't a deal breaker for the right candidates.
Shift Pattern
Our team are dedicated to providing tailored care 24/7 to the ladies they support and will cover a mixture of dayshifts, backshifts, sleepovers and waking nights.

Qualifications & state requirements
Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy. If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
Please note – if you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre‑employment checks.
