Education/ Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Masters degree in pharmacy or equivalent
2. Member of GPhC
3. Certificate in Pharmacy Practice
4. Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy Practice
Desirable criteria
5. Management or leadership courses
6. Registered Independent Prescriber
7. MSc in Pharmacy practice or equivalent in cancer speciality
Skills, Abilities and Attributes
Essential criteria
8. Demonstrate ability to recommend and communicate verbal and written therapeutic options for patients in multi-disciplinary setting.
9. Able to work under pressure alone and in a team.
10. Good ability to use computer systems including excel and word
11. Demonstrate good personal organisation and time management skills to cope with clinical, operational and governance tasks.
12. Ability to identify and manage risks.
Desirable criteria
13. Ability to develop chemotherapy protocols on the electronic prescribing system.
14. Demonstrate knowledge and ability to manage and influence other colleagues to implement policy, operation or service changes
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
15. Significant post registration training and experience in all aspects of hospital pharmacy practice
16. Substantive clinical experience in providing pharmaceutical service to Oncology/Haematology patients
17. Demonstrable the use of clinical audit or research to improve practice/service
18. Demonstrate knowledge in Cancer chemotherapy (Oncology and/or Haematology) therapeutics
Desirable criteria
19. Experience in delivering training
20. Demonstrate knowledge and experience on management and governance of cancer chemotherapy service
21. Good understanding of the GMP and regulations concerning aseptic preparation
