Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer Location: Leeds (Hybrid Working) Contract Type: Contract (Exempt from Regulations) Duration: 3 Months Start Date: Immediate Hours: 37.5 per week Rate: £35-£40 per hour Overview An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a building services consultancy on a 3-month contract basis. Working on a hybrid basis from Leeds, you will support the delivery of electrical design across a varied portfolio of residential, education, and commercial projects. This role is ideal for a technically strong MEP professional who can contribute from concept through to detailed design. Key Responsibilities Deliver electrical building services design across multiple projects. Produce calculations, specifications, and technical reports. Develop detailed electrical layouts and schematics. Coordinate with mechanical engineers and wider MEP teams to ensure integrated design solutions. Liaise with clients, architects, and other consultants to resolve technical queries. Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations and industry standards. Support project delivery to agreed timescales and budgets. Strong MEP coordination experience. Competent in industry-standard design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech/Dialux or equivalent). Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and relevant electrical standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative design team. Strong communication and organisational skills.
