The Diocese of Leicester is seeking a dedicated Project Administrator to support our decade long Resourcing Churches programme as it enters its final two years.
This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to a transformative programme that has already established 25 new worshipping communities and welcomed over 700 new worshippers across Leicester and Leicestershire.
About the role
As Project Administrator, you will play a key role within the Programme Management team, providing administrative support to ensure effective delivery of the Resourcing Churches project. Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing administration for the Joint Programme Board, including minute taking and collating papers.
* Coordinating a range of meetings and events, such as Hub meetings and Community of Practice residential gatherings, including invitations, attendance tracking, venue liaison, document circulation, and logistics.
* Liaising with Resourcing Church leaders and officers to request, gather, and collate project information and reporting.
* Managing general administrative duties such as responding to correspondence, greeting visitors, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the smooth functioning of the team.
* Upholding safeguarding, data protection, and health & safety standards in line with Diocesan policies.
What We're Looking For
You will bring strong organisation, communication, and IT capability, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast paced environment. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade C or above).
* Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and confidence with data.
* Willingness to learn new systems such as SharePoint and Canva.
* Ability to work with numerical data and project reporting processes.
* Excellent organisational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
* A friendly and confident approach to engaging with a wide range of people.
* Initiative, flexibility, and the ability to work to deadlines.
* Trustworthiness, reliability, and commitment to confidentiality.
* Alignment with the values and purposes of the Church of England and the Diocese of Leicester.
