Job summary
PGME is the Postgraduate Medical Education Team at Norfolk & Norwich Hospital. The postgraduate team organise and provide medical education programmes and deliver teaching for Resident Doctors and Consultants. The team works closely with the medical school and students to provide a seamless medical journey into the NHS.
The PGME Administration Team works closely with resident doctors and consultant staff to provide educational opportunities through the provision of relevant teaching and courses.
The reception role also provides support for the teaching rooms in the Bob Champion Building and works with the UEA in supporting undergraduate students.
Main duties of the job
* The post holder will provide reception support including greeting and supporting visitors on arrival to the site. The post holder to undertake room bookings for the BCRE managing bookings, monitoring attendance, checking on room use using an excel spreadsheet.
* The post holder should also be able to provide AV support in the rooms (such as provide cables or advice on IT use) or log calls to the helpdesk for bigger issues.
* The post holder to ensure that rooms are maintained in correct order, chairs are returned and tables replaced and flip charts are ready for use and in correct rooms.
* To support the administration of courses run both internally and at external venues.
* To provide a point of contact for the department, in a timely and courteous manner, providing advice, information, guidance and reassurance as required to a range of contacts including direct interface with external clients, medical staff, GP's and other professionals at all levels. To assist in the preparation of reports, agendas and assist tutors/ Department managers with correspondence
