Job Description
Reporting to the Financial Control Manager, the Financial Accountant duties will include:
3. Prepare and review accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with IFRS accounting standards, the government reporting manual FReM and statutory requirements.
4. Support the Accounts year end audit process, including completion of assigned working papers.
5. Perform year-end financial assurance, reviews and analysis on Product Accounts financial reporting.
6. Oversee the reconciliation of accounts and ensure the integrity of financial data.
7. Act as the key of point of contact between the organisation and outsourced finance teams.
8. Maintain and improve financial controls and processes.
9. Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and standards.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Financial Accountant will be a Qualified Financial Accountant with experience in the preparation of year end accounts and the ability to engage with auditors.You will need to be able to interpret and explain highly complex financial information in non-routine situations to Senior Managers and non-finance colleagues.Experience of working in financial services or a Government body is desirable.
