Job Description
We’re working with a charming, independently run countryside pub that’s known for its welcoming atmosphere, quality seasonal food, and loyal local following. They’re now looking for a talented Head Chef to take full ownership of the kitchen and work closely alongside the owner to continue building on their excellent reputation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative chef who enjoys autonomy, thrives in a hands-on environment, and wants the freedom to shape menus using fresh, seasonal produce.

1. £40,000 per annum plus circa £3,000 service charge
2. Working 48 hours per week
3. Full autonomy over menu creation and development
4. The opportunity to work closely with a supportive and passionate owner
5. Leading a small kitchen team of 3 to 4 chefs
Responsibilities as the Head Chef…
6. Taking full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen
7. Creating seasonal menus focused on fresh, quality ingredients
8. Leading, motivating, and developing a small team of chefs
9. Managing stock, GP margins, and kitchen ordering
10. Maintaining high food hygiene and health & safety standards
11. Delivering consistently high-quality dishes during service
This role would suit an experienced Head Chef looking for more creative freedom or a strong Sous Chef ready to take the next step into their first head chef position.
