Following a recent restructure within the Integrated Pathways Division, we have an opportunity for a Professional Lead Physiotherapist to join our Older People and Therapies Clinical Delivery Group (CDG).
This role will provide strategic and clinical leadership within the acute and Community Hospitals. This post will ensure the provision of a high quality, responsive professional leadership.
You will also work alongside other Therapy Professional Leads, Head of Therapies and General Manager on operational and strategic planning and development of the Integrated Therapy Service.
Main duties of the job
1. Maintain, high clinical profile across the therapy Outpatient services
2. Line manage the Therapy Clinical Specialty to include annual appraisals employing the KSF framework and performance monitoring in accordance with Trust policies and procedures
3. Work collaboratively with the Head of Therapies and General Manager in the development of the strategic direction of the Professions' Clinical Specialties and the Trust through shared objectives
4. Responsible for the implementation of measurable accountable models of working to sustain high standards of safe patient care
5. Responsible for the management of all therapy personnel issues in a timely manner in accordance with Trust policies, working closely with HR
6. Accountable for ensuring that their therapy teams adhere to their own line management responsibilities in accordance with Trust policies and procedures
7. Employ a wide range of specialist knowledge and expertise to develop skills of all therapy and other clinical staff in response to the Trust's strategic objectives, having maximum impact to enhance patient care
8. Work with the Director of AHP's and Head of Therapies to create a vision for patient care which reflects local and national clinical standards

17. Experience of interpreting national policies and initiatives and implementing these into the workplace

Qualifications
Essential
23. Evidence of academic pathway equivalent to Degree in Therapy or Health Related study
24. Masters Degree in relation to health management Or equivalent experience that recognises developed and complex levels of knowledge, which enable the development of original responses to complicated and unpredictable problems and situations. Professional training / Learning at this level will need to demonstrate highly developed professional knowledge, which is appropriate for senior professionals / managers
