Overview
Technical Director role at WSP focusing on fire safety in architectural design. Involves working on diverse projects (e.g., university projects in Scotland, high-rise towers in London) with international opportunities, delivering innovative design while maintaining high fire safety standards.
Responsibilities
* Manage design information and coordinate with WSP disciplines such as Facades, Acoustics and Structures.
* Present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service.
* Inform the design team about changes to increase building safety.
* Learn and apply software packages, fire standards, and participate in team briefings and client updates.
* Contribute to professional registration progress with IFE or other organisations.
* Participate in a bespoke development programme for fire engineers, including training areas such as technical report writing, project management, influential communications, and commercial concepts.
Qualifications
* BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* Extensive experience in fire engineering consulting.
* Open to base from any UK major office.
