About the role
You will have plenty of opportunity to go offshore, gaining first-hand experience of working on offshore turbines. We will of course make sure you’re fully trained to do so – we’ll support you through full GWO training and advanced first aid.
1. Gain valuable knowledge and experience of the full scope of Offshore Windfarm operationssafety management and reportingliaising with stakeholders from across the business and within our joint venture partnerstechnical turbines by undertaking turbine fault analysis and recommending modifications that will maximise output and performanceidentifying and capturing operational risksdaily site fault reporting and daily work planning
2. Assist the team e.g:with keeping our wind farms effectively maintained and operated at maximum efficiency, powering hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses across the UKmaking decisions aimed at improving business efficiency
Job requirements and experience
3. You´re an enrolled student in one of the following degree courses: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other associated engineering degree
4. Your degree course is eligible for a year in industry placement
5. You have very good verbal and written communication skills
6. You´re able to coordinate your own workload and to meet tight deadlines
7. Working in a diverse team environment and dealing with a range of stakeholders every day is something you feel comfortable with
8. You´re open to travel to other sites if needed. Travel expenses will be covered by us
