Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team term time only. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, fostering their development and learning through engaging activities.
Duties
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
* Supervise and interact with children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
* Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive nursery environment.
* Support children in developing essential skills such as sharing, cooperation, and communication.
* Keep accurate records of children's development and progress.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery setting.
* Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
Requirements
* Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
* A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential.
* Strong management and leadership skills to guide less experienced staff members.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for potential transport needs related to outings or activities.
* A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
